No, this is restaurant is not related to the soon to be opened, Oinkster. The Pig has been around for a more significant amount of time.

It's located in the shi-shi area of La Brea and Beverly where all the boutiques and ritzy ditzy places are. From first glance, it looks like the restaurant is actually larger than what's revealed inside. Beware, this is a not a good place for groups larger than 10. There's one only booth that can most likely accomodate that amount of people. It's probably best to have them cater a party.

We ordered a stack of dried rub baby back ribs and a full stack of wet St. Louis style ribs. The wet ribs were a bit more tastey. I think I like lathering the bbq sauce a little more. But even if you prefer rub with your ribs, both dishes were just as juicy. The meat was leaner than most ribs I've had in the past. The great part about being there around 4:30pm/5pm was their happy hour special - two for one sandwiches with sides sold seperately! The catfish po'boy and bbq pork sandwiches were winners. If you don't like eating beef jerky in a sandwich, stay away from the beef brisket sandwich.

Overall, the experience was great and quite cozy. The service was very helpful and welcoming. You order at the counter and they take care of the rest.
