Coming soon...Oinkster

Out of the well-known Pilipino American chefs in the industry, Andre Guerrero is one of my favorites thus far. He owns Max's, as well as Senor Fred, both in Sherman Oaks.

I heard some rumblings a few months ago that he has a third on the way. It wasn't until last Friday that I finally found out the name. Oinkster is going to be located in Eagle Rock. From the description, it sounds like it's a nice lunch joint. It's in the same area as all the other hipster places that have opened up on Colorado and Eagle Rock. Too bad it DOESN'T OPEN UNTIL DECEMBER! We found out that great news after George suggested we go there. If he didn't know it was still under construction when we went there, how did he find out the opening date after we had driven through Eagle Rock looking for the damn old Dairy Queen building?!

So, because of the wayward trip and to inaugurate the new spot, George is buying us all lunch in December!
